OK This is COOL! (how does it work and how would u build one)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I Seen that 2! Like a cup being pulled out of water full!
Neat!

Its called an open bottem tank ?? I think!!

most likely run by principles of suction and water pressure (we've all seen simalar things with cups and water) if you break the suction, or syphon, you will have water everywhere, being that the tank will over flow.

educated guess how it works, but i definetly don't have a degree in H2O engineering

If you miss a day of top off and the water level in the bottom tank gets below the lower rim of the top tank... SPLOOSH!!!

you just vacuum out the air at the top of the open bottom tank and it fills up, the bubbles are just cycling the same air . . .

if u were to have a bottom tank tall enough to hold the water from the top tank the only problem u would have is re establishing the vaccum whenever it is lost right ? -the water the slashes over the edge

Why do people feel the need to ruin otherwise cool YouTube video with crappy music? And its usually sub-porn-quality music.

Im not sure of this, but I think that the reason for the music in this video is because if they just had live sound it would be a recording of the vacuum pump switching on and off to suck out the air from the air stone.

I did an upside down tank without the need or use of a vacuum pump

There was a thread a few days ago...on something like this... I think it got deleted.. i cant find it anywhere....
