OK, this is what I got, is it a RT?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There is a Festea at cichlid world near I-94 and telegraph it is an adult male and is 100 dollars but maybe they could get you a juvie in if you asked real nice ;) If you need to know of any other cool fish stores in MI just ask me I have traveled to them all

I bought my myan as a Rt also but it is a great fish spunky and aggressive too. A bit of a slow grower though.

I used to live in michigan, there are a few good stores if your willing to make the drive. Also I sell these and I wont make you order 100 dollars of anything. although if you are going to pay 50 bucks for shipping you might as well get a couple more things. I have 44 different kinds of hard to find south/central americans. and my prices are very resonable. ill take care of ya.

As far as stores in MI, I live in the UP, so it would be a drive to get to the good ones downstate. I've only been across the bridge four times in my life, and that was just passing through to get to TN.

Anyways, I went in Saturday and told the LFS girl working that my fish were not true red terrors and that I wanted Festaes. The girl said I know you did, I wrote it down. And she showed me the order. Sure enough, they did order Festaes. Guess their supplier can't tell the difference. :screwy:

Dosn't say much about the supplier does it....?

Well... Mayans are nice fishes too. If you go check my gallery, you'll find some pics of my female mayan. They are less aggressive than RTs too, BTW. ;)

Best regards.

Daniel.

not full proof. many stores order festae & then get uros.

Whenever you want to order a red terror, specify to the LFS that you want amphilophus festae. Otherwise, you will most likely get a Mayan cichlid and be really disappointed.
