i have a light abu garcia pole, probably about 4 foot, says capacity is 4lb. test at 100 yards, is it ok to add something around the 6 lb. test range to it? it needs some new line. thanks

Yeah, it's fine. Just realize that the larger diameter line will reduced your yardage. So with 100 yards at 4lb, you'll get about 80 yards 6lb.

yeah its pretty much a crappie pole, but ive caught some nice lmb's on it as well.

It'll be ok, but have less total line like previously mentioned, and it wont cast quite as well.

for a crappie pole, all you need is sting and a stick and a hook.....but yeah, you sure can.

i have an actual crappie pole, its like 12 foot, but this one will mostly be for panfish and etc.

i use a 6.5' ugly stick...but that's my all around fishing pole. 6lbs spider wire.
