ok to add one higher lb. test line?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i got the rod at an overstock clearance store in minnesota for like 5 bucks. works great

Go out and buy the spider wire or fire line that has higher lb test but at the exact same diameter as the smaller lb test mono. Like i think 14 lb test in spider wire is like 4 lb test diameter. So if you get 6 or 8 lb spider wire you could possibly fit more yardage on your reel then your old mono line.

It's aint too bad. I'd rather spend more money on line and have it not break on a big fish then skimp and lose one. Your equipment is everything.

that is true, but i dont think im gonna hook anything above 4 pounds, unless a carp actually bites, then id be really surprised.

my father used to catch carp and LMB on his fly rob while fishing for panfish...you never know........

Plus the only line I trust is spider wire and fireline so im kinda biased.
