I didnt know pokemon is still big until now. I stopped playing it a few years ago.

Pokemon was my childhood. I was so obsessed, it was a little rediculous. My all time favorite will always be Red, you can't deny the classics. The newest one I have is a year or two old, but I have considered getting white. And getting a shiny that early is really lucky, I've never gotten or seen one before (other than ones meant to be in the game such as the "red garados") and I've played for hundreds and hundreds of hours.
Black and white aren't crap so much so as the new pokemon in black in white are crap. Well about 90% of the new one's are crap.
I stopped back when there was only red and blue. But last year at this time my brother and I were alternating shifts( I had nights he had days) at the hospital and we got back into playing it. Although honestly I also was playing a scooby doo game boy game, oregon trail, odell lake, hemp tycoon, and the original spiderman game boy game too. Its fun every now and again but I dont have the patience for it anymore. Plus cooking off a frag and creating electronic carnage on MW3 makes me giggle more than pikachu ever did. 
Still play it now and then when I feel like being nostalgic. They just announced Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 which is the first time they have done a numbered sequel main game.
