The first picture shown is a Savannah Monitor that has a problem. Its not shaped correctly. Maybe something wrong with its bones.

The second picture is a BLACK THROAT MONITOR. They do get alot bigger then Savannah's. (as seen in that picture)

I have never seen a Savannah over 3 feet long. Mine is only about 30-33 inches long and from what I have wread the record was 39... So not get flamin' on me.
yea I know that the second was a black throat variation. I was just showing dovi another good choice for a very large lizard that tames down quite nicely and is similar to the savannah, but much larger. I know for a fact though that the record is considerable larger than 39"

yaeh i have the time for the two and i should be going to get the savanah today

I don't know if its just me or is the area behind the stomach and before the rear legs strange?

Actually, a fat tail is a healthy monitor.

A fat monitor in the stomach region is not so healthy.

I know the fat tail is healthy, and when the monitor walks, the belly should not touch the floor. Your looking at the wrong spot. lol.

mmmm

fat tails are always good

Yea looking at it closely it does actually look strange. It kind of looks like the savannah has a distorted hourglass figure:confused:
