I have a 125 Gallon Fish Tank. I Have a Venny Pike, A Female Losiellei, a Lyonsi, Cuban and a Festae I am getting once my buddy gets his pair. Wht do you guys think about that

you will definitely have to keep a close eye on water parameters, thats pushing it a bit with bio load but if your religious about it and your lucky and aggression doesnt become an issue then it may work out, but most likely there will be aggression issues with the pike and festae...i would suggest upgrading to a 180 or something with at least a 2ft width when they get larger

Sarah is correct, if you forsee yourself upgrading down the line for them then its a fine stocking, You may need to add some more fileration to the tank if you find yourself doing maintanence all the time.

his filtration is good on the 125 ive seen it. He plans on buying a smaller tank for the cuban or tank and hes planning on an upgrade

I say go for it but just be ready to "make neccessary adjustments" as you go along. You never know. I stock a jd, festae, freddy and midas in a 300 and it works....... for now. i had a green terror in the mix and it was a nightmare. Green terror tormented my festae nearly to death. Put the same Green terror in a 90 wirth a firemouth and a convict and the firemouth relentlessly chased both of the other fish. Reaquascaped about 5 times. Isolated fish for weeks on end before reintroduction. Nothing worked....

in the end i got rid of both the Gt and Firemouth. I just couldnt make it work no mattter how badly i wanted it to. With about 500 gallons at my disposal....

Cichlids are very unpredictable fish, and things can change very quickly as they attain size.

I have a lot of filtration. I am Running 2 Marineland biowheel 400 and a casade 1200. I am gonna get more cubans and get a 75 gallon for a pair of them down the road. and I do plan on Upgrading to a 240 gallon or more . I want some more fish that i like But that will wait till i get the money and space to set it up and when i but my house in the next 6 months to a year.
