OKay My New Stock Level I am Going for

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hopefully its works out for you and they all get along, unlikely though as we all know Cichlids can be very unpredictable at times.

Good Luck.

Thanks Darren.

I say go for it but just be ready to "make neccessary adjustments" as you go along. You never know. I stock a jd, festae, freddy and midas in a 300 and it works....... for now. i had a green terror in the mix and it was a nightmare. Green terror tormented my festae nearly to death. Put the same Green terror in a 90 wirth a firemouth and a convict and the firemouth relentlessly chased both of the other fish. Reaquascaped about 5 times. Isolated fish for weeks on end before reintroduction. Nothing worked....

in the end i got rid of both the Gt and Firemouth. I just couldnt make it work no mattter how badly i wanted it to. With about 500 gallons at my disposal....

Cichlids are very unpredictable fish, and things can change very quickly as they attain size.

wow so the steps you take are reaquascaping, time out for a few weeks, and then eventually get rid of them? do you take them to the pet shop or sell them to friends or online? i'm about to do the same but getting rid of fish is always hard to me especially when i grow them from young.
