Okay stocking for a 75?

Eh, I think a large hoplo or pictus would be fine, personally. Of course there are risks with any cichlid, but I kept fullgrown pictus with Oscars, severums, GT, even convicts before. I think an ornatus would get a bit large for a 75.
I think the rainbows would be fine, but the stocking sounds a little heavy for a 75 to me, with the GT, 3 pictus, large rhino pleco, and the rainbows. MIght cut out either the cats or the pleco.

Definitely keeping the pleco, it's been my dream to have a big brute looking pleco, and I like catfish with incredibly wide mouths, not like pictus.

Pleco are nice, but add more than most fish to the bioload. With the pleco and GT I would definitely leave out the other cats, and would keep the rainbow school numbers down.
Just my .02

Unless I find a widemouthed catfish that grows to around 8", that's my plan.

Sorry to say this but most wide-mouth catfish are bigger. Smaller cats can eat smaller food ---> smaller mouth.

Wood catfish are an exception, but are often shy if I recall correctly.

welp, not at my lfs for sure so I can't get one of those. any bottom feeders with a big mouth other than catfish? or are catfish the only way to go?

found out bumblebee catfish exist, and it seems there's a 10 inch type. I know petco sells fish that get huge. if my lfs doesn't have any bumblebees, should I just take my chances with petco? I have a 55 if the bumblebee isn't the right one.

Bumblebee cats may work, but a full 10" fish will be big and chunky.
