These are great... how do you sex these guys? Have you bred any? Do they really get this big. what did you feed this guy? Yikes..

The anal fin of adult males is broader than it is on adult females. Max size of Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri is around 30 inches. They pretty much eat any meaty foods, including sinking pellets.
 
how fast do endli grows before they get monster size? I love these bichirs--- they look like giant snakes in the water. How active are they? Are they aggessive?
