Old hob ...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i have the same one lol its been running FOREVER lol i just fill it up with alittle filter floss and put some ceramic rings on the bottom and it filters my tank wonderfully

Hey muffy any idea what filter your co workers uses. This things a champ, it keeps that convict tank in the back round in great shape, I have a older Tetra Second Nature that looks almost identical.

woot i have 3 of those still running!!^_^

i use polly fill just fill it up so it dose not stop the flow and let it go!

The only think that I kinda don't like.. ( but well worth this filter) is the seal to control flow to intake/impeller has to be good to get a good suction going. On water changes if it looses suction, I have to coax, pray, flood, and beat it into starting back up. Every few months on my second nature I have to glue the white mounts back on the impeller... beside that I love em. I wish all new filters had adjustable flow.... anyone have older filters?

lol on a side note I also have a allglass aquarium, from July 17 1989 anyone got anything older than that :character0062:

i don't know how old it is but i was given a 40 gallon for free

i think its a 40 tall with fake wood trim and the glass is nearly 1/2 inch thick..lol no brace

the people i got it said they had it for like 15 years or so and they got it used..

Man... that is so weird.. I have the EXACT same aquarium... no brace and everything... whats up with us and old equipment... are we using Pinto filtration or what?

Mine became very weak and just decided to replace it altogether.

Did you inspect your impeller, My brackets came loose and I had to glue em, worked like a charm.

Also I have built up white residue on my filter and since I have been posting about them, I think its time for an overhaul.
