lol...mostly its stuff i have gotten for free or passed down and Im cheap in what can be very expensive hobby.

You an me both bro.

Hey muffy any idea what filter your co workers uses. This things a champ, it keeps that convict tank in the back round in great shape, I have a older Tetra Second Nature that looks almost identical.

just use a "cut it yourself" filter pad! OR polyfill. Much cheaper!

Did you inspect your impeller, My brackets came loose and I had to glue em, worked like a charm.

Also I have built up white residue on my filter and since I have been posting about them, I think its time for an overhaul.

How Do I remove this... Sad to say but I even resorted to chemicals, soaking, super hot water. Im totally dumb founded
vinegar

well ive been doing that, but Its going to be a hospital tank and I use carbon to remove meds. Its hard for me to use carbon on HOB with out making big mess. Lately I just use an aqua lifter connected to an Hollowed out IV drip, filled with carbon, but aqualifterss vibrate so much its annoying lol.

if its as simple as that... im going to flip brb

:P im not a bro!!!!!

I am sooo sorry, lol I made that mistake with muffy too.... wait... why are all the woman on at like 2 in the morning, anyways, the vinegar didn't work.

as for getting vinigar in my tank or media... pshhhh they teach that stuff on blues clues, still the vinegar really had no effect. lol im close to dremeling it off...
