I'm playing with the idea of building an indoor pond to keep some RTC and maybe RTCxTSN hybrid.

So far my options are a preformed 6 or 8 foot dia. livestock tank or build my own. Then I started thinking about a jacuzzi. There are a few nice used ones on craigslist in my area for a steal.

What would the cons of this be? My plan would be to box it in and fill with insulation, stone, etc.

Thanks!

Don't see why that couldn't work, as long as you have the space you need, cleaning could be a pain if you decide to hook up the vents to a filter, hard to say.

Just called a bunch of the sellers. I think my problem here would be the width. Unless I find a hot tub and not a jacuzzi tub. I was thinking with the built in pump and heater it would be a nice way to start the project.

jacuzzi is a brand name not a product. You are talking about a hot tub or spa? Spas are bigger and would work. They already come insulated. Spas with built in heaters to my knowledge dont go under 80 degrees unless its a reaaal old pos.

i think that would work good just have to make sure the jet holes are properly sealed except for those you want to rig up to do circulation

dont see why it would not work

I had this same idea a while back, the problem I ran into was the deep part wasnt that big/couldnt find a spa big enough

It would be kind of small for rtc or a hybrid. But it would make an awsome saltwater pond. Great circulation with the jets. Could be an idea.
