It has a pinkish red mouth with a tanish base and clear tentacles with white tips on the end. It may have been on my live rock and I just didn't notice it? Or maybe it is something completely different. I'll try to get a shot of it but it's at a tough angle.

Personally, I value my time, so I wouldn't bother with cleaning it if it's going to take more than an hour; I see spending too long on cleaning it as losing money.
If water is a prob and ur stressin out about all this id make life easy buy some PFS its super cheap comes pretty clean so less rinsing...and looks great

Well the sand is fine, it's done and looks great. I wasn't stressing about anything lol just wondering if it was a good idea.
I do have one question though not related to the sand but to the livestock. This includes 1 four striped damsel named killer.
Haven't had a tank mate for him in two years and I've pretty much ruled out other damsels. Was wondering if a small goby or even any species of shrimp would work with him? Is it even worth to try?
