here is a very very crude and amateurish effort at describing my filter inlet/outlet placements.
both inlets and outlets [spray bars] are at the back of the tank. the inlets are all the way to the gravel and the outlets are slightly angled upwards towards the front of the tank.
the debris gets piled up at the back of the tank below the spray bars at the center. clown loaches kick it up now and then for the filter inlets to pick it up though.
would a wave maker or an internal filter help? or should i just leave it be and vacuum it up now and then?
