oldest aro

like i said, when i saw this pic in 1999, i read the aro was already 15 years old. but i dont know when it was posted, maybe 2-3 years before that....so if this fish is alive til now, maybe pushing 25-30 years...i guess
 
the longest i have had a aro was a black for 7yrs
 
I knew a man that had a silver aro that he claims was 17 yrs. old. It was in a 8'-3'-3' show aquarium. It was at least 36" long probably more like 40" long. I swear if you saw it you'd think it was at least old enough to vote! It's lower jaw was at least 4" longer than it's upper jaw. Absolutely an ugly fish. This was in the mid 1980's .:eek3: :eek:
 
oh that fish may have had a proteuding lower jaw, or PLJ. if it had a normal jaw, i think it wouldnt be that ugly
