Lol I can see it now. Some nasty stinking American jail with murderers, rapists, drug dealers all looking nasty and say to the new fresh meat hey what you in for? Dealing? Killed someone? Nope I own an asian arowana.
 
Has anyone actually asked a lawyer or fish and game what the truthful penalty for owning an Asian aro is? I find it very hard to believe that it is anything more than a small fine and a slap on the wrist compared to the price of the fish. Unless they come into your house to confiscate your Aro and find your Panda breeding facility.

yeah, and thats the real problem. its all because no legislative body has ever listened to aquarists like us. the standing law on this right now is quite old, needs revisions and updates. it just sucks coz no senator would take a second look on this compared to bigger issues like oil or Iraq
 
we should all right a letter to the person that can change this and all sign it so that we would have a chance at them looking at it

i think we even have a thread for that here, there are even sites dedicated for bringing the asian arowana back to the US. I'm not even from the US but i can sure feel the pain.....
