OMG Another New Fish

I have no idea. This is like the first time I've ever kept African cichlids. lol

That's a sweet frontosa.
There's one just like him at a LFS here and he went for almost $100.
Stupid Northern Virginia.

I can buy them for $20, but that particular fish stood out... I don't know why.

i can get them cheap 20-30$
but when i clear up some space i want a huge colony of them(like 20-50)
i would ahve to buy the whole batch of frys

when you start a colony, you don't want to buy them from the same batch. that'd cause inbreeding. you want to select the fishes from different batches.

it looks to me like I'll be holding on to this fish for awhile, I'm thinking of starting a mini colony of them but not sure.
