TOO cute!
Sometimes people forget how to be so excited ;-)
Did you sleep?

I concur... nice to see someone ezcited about a spawn.. a first spawn is always a happy dance event. Gratz! hopefully more will come. and i agree chances are they wont last but the parent over time may get lucky and raise a few fry for you.

I wouldn't sleep if any of my fish had a clutch. For days. That's an exciting event. I would move the plant. Whole thing if you can. Idk much about plants, but I have moved mine and so have my cichlids

The only thing that could possibly improve on this post is an unembedded video link.

Thats an awesome start, I was 24 before I had any cichlids breed for me. How old are you, if you don't mind me asking of coarse! :)

I was about to mock you for writing OMG so many times (using it even once should be a crime) but then I realised how excited I was when I got my first fry and forgave you ;)

Ummm.... its midnight remember? Its their first spawn I want to let them get cozy and settled in male is so small I doubt he's sexually mature yet... and the eggs are stuck to my prized mother sword plant which id REALLY like to not have to clip. Maybe next spawn (if their is another) but nevertheless I WILL take action and clip it if need be or when I feel that the bond is unbreakable. I don't want to prematurely severe this relationship

Really I am trying to hold back my thoughts till I have read the whole thread, but I really think you need to cool your jets in how you respond to someone offering you some advice.

Honestly I think you need to take a cup of herbal tea to cool your jets a bit.

Fish are like bunny rabbits with one exception they produce more than a pair of bunnies would. So I would not worry so much if nothing comes of the first batch of eggs. Yet, if you really want to see them survive the best is to listen to the advice that Chrisplosion gave you and fill up that 10g. Really if it is to much of a hassle to filll up a 10g tank at midnight then the survival of the fry must not reallly be as important as you say.
