omg!!! good news for me!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
right on that is ][V][ONSTER!!

OK so if you have a 10' x 10' x 4' tank you have almost 3000 gallons...:eek3:

For filtration you'll need to turn that over 3-5 times per hour,
so a pump that can pump 9000-15000 gallons per hour (150-250 GPM) is needed.

Remember, filtration is first and formost...
I've never cycled a pond before but it has got to be the same as a tank except larger

A couple three 55gallon garbage cans, One of them full of Bio-Balls and 4 square feet of floss and foam and some DIY ingenuity and a pool pump and you'll be there...

Lol no i love my dad!!!!!!! im gona go check out out how big the tank actully is and go see how how big of a pump i need once thats done ill post pics of it and go buy mass bio balls / floss and foam them im good

whats DIY ingenuity

Whew sorry I took so long. Well some of the abbreviations if I remember were red tailed cat, tiger shovel nose, clown knife, red tailed giant gourami, and I think that was about it. Oh BTW I would throw in a couple bowfin and bass......That is what I have for my pond. Good luck with it, and I cannot wait to see the building of it. BTW If you REALLY want pacus I would get like a school of them. That is the only way I like them. Tell people you have giant pirranas and of course they will believe you and they will be scared because people think pirranas are really mean when IME I have found they are sissys.

Oh I forgot one fish. Sharks with friken lasers on thier heads.

Filtration filtration, filtration.... and some big heaters! And a cover / netting...and a back up tank in case something serious goes wrong and and and....

Bloody hell..that's gonna be a fun project to set up...never mind all the monsters you can grow in it.
Good job ur in Florida.
Try that here and you end up with Arowana Ice Cubes....heehee

Good luck...pics pics pics

Build a couple BIO towers pump the water UP & in; then let it flow out, each one with a flow rate of about 5~6000 gph. total 10~12000/hour (3~4 turns)

Use pot scrubbers rather than bio balls, more surface, less money, better deal.

A mechanical pre-filter on each.. Perhaps filter bags sitting atop each one..

Nice dad, my dad never gave me a tank; but he did give me a way to transport them ...
it was a fathersday presant a few years ago, I guess he felt I am a good dad..

Now its your turn to post some pics
