OMG HELP!

it's not that he was pale that is the real problem, that is just what got me to see the real problem, he hadn't been moved in weeks, he was stressed form being sick I think. But I do think that moving them into the "pond" started the ick breakout, which has somehow lead to this mess...

no one answered my question earlier about the temp, should it be high for the ick or low for the columnaris???
 
The main reason for raising the temp with ICK is it speeds up the time for reproduction. ICK will not reproduce while on the fish. Once the ICK leaves the fish that is when the meds will destroy it.

ICK will naturally leave the fish to reproduce at normal tank temps, it will just take a little longer so if what your fish have is actually columnaris (and I am not saying it is not) then keeping the temps lower will be alright!!
