Go to the nearest marine supply and get some "oil soaks"
...they are a large, like 2'x2' , multi-layered, paper product,
that is used to clean oil/fuel out of water. they don't soak up the water just the oil.
They are essential to the maritime industry, because there is a zero tolerance for any visible sheen on the waterways here...

Sound like so far you've not lost any fish which is good. Right decision on not draining it other wise the you'd end up with only oil.
