so today i saw the biggest ghost shrimp in my sump. some how he made it through all the filtration alive and been living in the sump. i swear musta been like 2 inches long. what surprises have you guys found in your sumps?

thats a pretty good place for a shrimp im sure he is eating all the bits of food your fish left behind. maybe you should add more?
I put a siamese algae eater in my tank one night and it was gone the next. Figured the oscar ate him, about two months later I was moving stuff around in my sump and found him swimming in there.
I thought he deserved to go back into the big tank, the dat did not.... swimming around with half of his body sticking out of his mouth ahaha.

i found a mbuna cichlid in my sump, he was so pale lol. wonder what he was eating the whole time.. just a bunch of MTS and pond sails in there..
My peacock eels and tire track eels ended up in the sump all the time. Also had a baby geophagus take the ride once as well.
Unfortunately my tire track eel also figured out how to jump out of the sump, wiggle around inside the stand, and fall through small hole down underneath the stand, to be found by my girlfriends probing hand about 8 months later. Needless to say the shriek was quite loud, and she was NOT happy with me...

I had a rosy red end up in my sump and he has been in there ever since. tht was almost 2 years ago. I forget all about it until I do my sump cleaning every 6 months or so...tough little guy
