Let's be real. People often comment on an aspect of original posts and it gets interpreted as 'negative' toward the main theme, when that was not really their intent.
Nevertheless, F1 notably uses double standards between him and other members about "how" careful and delicately every comment is supposed to be posted. He reacts all touchy & unpredictable, after blasting others with insults all in the name of truth-telling. Kid gloves required from others, but he slices away like the heroic Zorro. Ya never know what to expect!

Helping some fish is a good thing, everyone knows that.
Just don't expect the humans you gutted yesterday to be tying on your "I-am-such-a-martyr, nobody's-stroking-my-heart-shaped-feelers" Cape.
HELLOoo
Fully agreed with this!!!!!!!!

Im speechless, i emailed him and said i could take the fish for him and give him to my buddy w/ a pond. I feel so bad

Im gonna use my time and money to make sure these guys make it too my friends pond and actually be a contributing citizen, not sit on my cpu and stab ppl for having different opinions!!! Get a life!

I talked to the guy and he didnt even know ur suppossed to change water, i can only imagine his nitrate ppm
Make up your mind! Are you just going to take the fish from him, or are you actually going to spend time and money? That person must have a very good filtration for having a tank with fish like that without doing water change. Those fish didn't grow overnight.

It's a sad day when an MFK'er gets grief for caring about the welfare of fish that belong to someone less educated. You guys are really rude.

+2, he's trying to rescue atleast one of the fish, and you guys bash him that there's dirtier tanks out there?
Until he posts a picture of his friend's pond, I wouldn't jump to such conclusion

So you're saying people are disgreeing that this is the dirtiest tank he has PERSONALLY seen, he never said anything about the dirtiest tank in existance, just from the ones he has seen. I would get pissy too if people are telling me that I Personally have seen dirtier tanks, when I haven't. Or we have people who don't read each word carefully and fill in blanks with their own words, probably the latter.

He did not "PERSONALLY" see that tank. He only saw it from on-line pictures

It's not us arguing semantics here people. Look at the thread title. Do any of you guys consider a 12" rtc a giant? Do any of you guys see "50 inches of fish" in that tank? is that tank dirty enough to "take your breath away?" Do any of you think he called john doe with the tank and ole johhny boy said, "Water changes? Whats that mean?" Anyone who thinks that stock pictured plus the 2 mythical invisible 9" oscars could survive over a year in a 55g and it still be that clean and healthy with no water changes knows something I don't. The difference between me and you... I rescue fish all the time from craigs list, I just don't make a thread on here pretending to be a hero that saved a fish from certain death.

+1 There are a number of people who are guilty of this

Most people will take things wrong sometimes, & 'come off' wrong at other times.
but there's a big difference between hasty typing, being unclear, or even posting from one bad mood- and flat out insulting others by name calling and tossing nasty labels all over the forum.
Repeatedly.

I would be glad to take the rtc but I haven't been able to find it on craigslist I'm about 15 miles from lebanon and have the roomuploadfromtaptalk1334202144471.jpg

Interesting...but nothing new... people do this to often now. Honestly, RTC and BIG BIG fish should be avoided. If someone kept a fish which should ideally have 75 gallon in a 55 gallon, I would not really exagerate my feeligns over that. As long as the water and dietry needs of the fish are good.

If you are REALLY REALLY picky about housing fish...don't keep fish. Buy them and release them in their OWN habitat...that way, they are getting what they naturally want... A FREE WORLD lol

My standards are different then some of yours obviously. Ive never kept a tank this dirty and imo its a rtc which needs bigger tank but oscars too?

Ive been ignorant before i admit that but im really trying to help, if it was 2' ud feel bad.

He wouldnt accept my offer after driving there. 75$ pretty sad and they were even bigger then he posted.

Thanks alot to those who understand!
