okay so for my past threads a few people found out how expensive used tanks and setups go in my area. for an idea I found a 75g for $800... Anyways, I got an email aboumy WTB post on CL and he has a 150g (non leaking) tank with stand and top and is willing to give it away for $250 Im thinking about seeing if he'll go for 225 if I pick it up. I think this is a good deal for my area and possably a horrible one in others. what do you guys think? the dimensions are 48"w X 24"d X 31"t 59"

I think that's a good deal. I like to pay under $1 a gallon for bare tanks, the stand, lights, filter, etc all add to the package.

If I was looking for a 150 I would be happy paying $250 for it.

P.s. I never try to negotiate with someone prior to seeing the item. I always look at the item and then ask if they'll take xx.xx... this way they know I am there with the money, etc :)
 
im just getting the tank stand and top. Im not getting the filters etc i dont think
 
I got a 150 for $300... Tank, stand, glass hoods, lights, gravel, driftwood, etc. Basically everything but heaters... which i also found on clist for 20 bucks WOOOOO!!

Agree... I wouldve been happy to pay $300 for what I got w only tank and stand... the other things were just a bonus.
 
Im going to see if I can go look at it tomorrow if its as nice as it looks Ill be seeing if I can bring it home thurs! Im excited :D

lol if you lived by me I have a guy lined up incase this doesnt happen for a 75g with tank and everything, full wood hood gravel can filter and a bunch of stuff for $75
