thank you all, I just got a call from my wife that she accidentally overfed them, I hope they'll be alright for 6 hours before I can get home to change the water.

BTW, I've just been siphoning out the water carefully, yet I still get a few fry in the bucket that i have to scoop to put back, is there any better way of doing waterchanges with such small fry?

I use Apple snails to keep the bottom clean, but when I need to clean the bottom , I use a turkey baister. But for just water changes, I put a filter spunge on the end of the hose.

Yes, After they are free swimming, I add 1 or 2 large Apple snails (also called Mystery snails).
They eat any old food on the bottom, As well as any dead fry.
Plus help keep down algae. But don't use pond snails, They multiply like crazy.

that would work really well...

I took out a rather small female bristlenose pleco (3") that I used to cycle the tank. I'd put it back in if I was sure that the pleco wouldnt eat the sleeping fry at night...
