Anyone in the pacific N.W. with 300$ and enough space to PROPERLY house this NEEDS to go get this gorgeous fish out of the hands of a guy who has no clue on earth how to PROPERLY care for fish. I am speechless. I might go pic this up from the kindness of my heart.:irked:....

Things like this can always happen no matter how much you want to argue or consider that some people lack the enthusiasm to do more researches.

I know, it's kind of sad. luckily there are people like us who can do the right thing for our wet pets.

I know that thing is probably starving.. poor fish.. but sorry to say I've seen worse.. :(

He must be doing something right regardless of how improper you think the care is. The fish looks good. Actually much better than some fish getting the proper care i've seen here.;)

The biggest problem I have is the fact that it is in a 30 gallon. I would only put a convict in a 30, but thats just me. Seen worse? I would love to see a worse situation than a silver aro in a 30.....Sad day.

I agree Biggest problem is size of tank.

Next is removing other bad elements from water ?
not just chlorine.

Seller says "equipment is worth $300 bucks" WTF ?
I would not pay $300 for a 30 gal even with all equipment.!

Also says " 90% of all Arrowana deaths are due to Suicide"
NOT IMO ~~ not suicide but stupidity !
Ignorance of how to care for them PROPERLY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

18" Silver Arrowana purchased as a fry from a fish store in Seattle International District. He is 2 years old and looking at another 18.
He comes with...
- 30 gallon tank
- cover / florescent light
- Steel Stand
- Filter with extra cartridges
- Heater
- Ph up / PH down
- ph/nitrate/ammonia/Nitrite testers
- Food
- Cleaning Bucket / vacuum
90% of all Arrowana deaths are due to Suicide. As long as you keep something heavy on top of the tank, it isnt an issue. They also become calmer as they age. Mine hasn't jumped in quite a while. Care for this fish is very simple: keep the temperature at 80-84 degrees, feed him a pinch of food every day or every other day, clean the tank once a week with the vacuum and replace the water that you clean out with tap water. If you have a well, fantastic, if you have city water, you need to let the water sit for a while to get rid of the chlorine. For any questions or if you want to come take a look at him, feel free to call XXX-XXXX or email me back. The equipment alone is worth 300 so the price is firm. My 1 year old daughter keeps climbing and banging on the stand. This is a hazard for both my daughter and the fish. This fish is very sensative to sudden movement and light change.
Some Body Buy this POOR FISH !!!!!!!!!!!!
