You can wrap their food in bacon, I always seem to fall for it

I always like my food fried in bacon grease. :D

New Life Spectrum and Omega One are two of the best pellets on the market imho. NLS seems to really bring out the color in fish too.

if you want to feed a varied diet then get 2 or 3 different kinds of quality pellets. I get all my food from www.kensfish.com so that I can get a variety of pellets to feed them. The last order I placed with him:

krill sinking food sticks
spirulina sinking food sticks
ken's cichlid pellets
ken's super color enhancing pellets
NLS pellets

This was the first time I'd purchased NLS and I've made it the primary food source and I mix the others in from time to time just to keep the variety and to try and keep them from getting stuck on one type of food. For example, the male xiloaensis in my avatar took a little over a week to start taking the NLS because I've been feeding him exclusively on the Ken's pellets since I got him in Feb '09.

I also mix in frozen or freeze dried krill, bloodworms and live worms (earthworms, red wrigglers or blackworms) as an occasional treat.

:)

^I agree with this 100%.

Stay away from feeders unless you breed your own.
