Good luck I hope they find nice homes, but when you try to sell them don't say they are 16'' most people don't have tanks for something like that. I could be wrong, but you should probably measure them, stick a ruler up to the glass. I don't think they are 16'', could be around 10 or 11'' if thats a 55 they are in.
 
Cudo's to you and your husband for the rescue. I have always been fond of the Oscars and currently have 2. Finding adequate housing for them is always a challenge; I am currently working on a plan to build an indoor pond (400g +) for them and some of the other large cichlids. Good luck with them.
 
There's a guy on cichlid forum that runs a rescue for big fish...you could try him...it's like big fish rescue or something.

How did you catch them with your hands? Man that must have been intense.
 
On the ruby O in the third pic he's busted his nostril. My O has the same thing and it's never healed, is that a bad thing coz someone said it looked like hith???Can anyone explain that futher??
