If I were to breed convicts again I would have a 55 for the breeding pair and use a 20 for the fry/feeders. But convicts will readily breed in anything!

You could keep convicts in a beer can and feed them chopped up dog turd and they would still breed.

My pairs live in a 125....Early 2009, February, first batch was laid....I still have the fry from the first spawn and boy are the BIG....Actually larger than the parents....It took the majority of the spawn 3-4 months to reach a fat adult size of 3 inches....
