went to Mission bay with my dad and met up with a few other guys from a different forum. Batrays where the target species.

my dad got a 10-13" grey smoothie right away. then a ray about 20lbs. about an hour after we arrived a guy ive been wanting to meet showed up and i got my first ray of about 20-25lbs. (attached photo). after some casting and chatting he had to head home. a few minutes later my dad got another ray, and its all uphill from there, for him atleast. he ms thave ended up with about 20 rays. the biggest where 70, 90, 100, and well over 130lbs! he also got a Spotted bay bass, and a Yellowfin croaker. i ended up with one more ray about 20lbs at 2:00 am.

we left there around 3:45, got home around 5:40. After only 3 hours of sleep the night before and well past 24hours, i passed out around 6:15 this morning to finally wake up about 2:30pm

heres my first ray. ill have more pics later from the other guys who where there.

im jk. lol.

we let them all go. they're just fun to pull on.

i'd have to agree with this, I cought a freshwater ray about a year ago, and it fought harder than the 4ft gator gar.

Nice catches again :)

they are a good fight or so it seems jsut a lot of drag through the water, it feels like ya foul hooked soemthing

these guys ran us wild. evel the little guys where drag burners! the 100lber took about 15 minutes to land and took a good 100yrds in the first run.
