mortality rate on baby fish is high. thinbars tend to do better in slightly brackish water, warm around 80ish, and lots of aeration with plenty of food. they like to eat at night or in the dark. but even then, it doesn't mean they will survive. of all the thnbars i kept, only one grew to about 6inches, the rest died also. mysterious death, eating one day, dead the next. but the rest of the tank mates are fine, i.e., widebars, p bass, clown knives...just probably hard to keep when they little.. sorry to derail...free bump

another one just died 2 left no more buying small dats for me

I have lost about 5 of my small dats from TFD. I called Joe and he didn't want to do anything about it! All he said was give them a "salt bath" and they should be fine. Kind of hope he sees this so he knows theirs a bunch of unhappy customers.... I will say the 2 rays I got in the same order are great but if we are all having probs with the same batch of dats from the same guy, he should help us out. We know how to keep fish and these are just not strong at all. my last 5 are growing and seem fine but the first 5 died in the first week. Crazy sh*t. Don't know why but.....?

that's where I got my dat. Mine is doing fine though. My silver aro died though, same for all of my loaches, and one of my elephant noses. :(
