Once again about the unidentified barb

Google is full of chaff, so finding a particular fish is next to impossible when searching by species. It is quite clearly a barb, or a very close barb relative.

sounds to me that you havent even tried. researching actually has a higher chance of knowing ur fish than describing it here.

How would you come to that conclusion after my stating that Google is full of chaff? This indicates quite clearly that I have actually tried to find it online without luck. In addition, there are probably some galleries/websites that I have missed, that YOU might be able to point out.

I'll go out on a limb here and say Fei Feng.......... I had one in the past kinda sounds like your description!!

Nope - the fins are nondescript, and it isn't striped - just "checkered" like a Checker barb, but thanks for the suggestion!
