There is no "right" answer for this question. It all depends on the individual fish.

I look to disprove your statement. I am making a meter that will be strapped to the back of various cichlids, with aggression measuring probes inserted into the fishes brain. Oh, look, my Oscar is at a 6.5!

I have to buy an anal probe from the aliens that abducted me, and add my nonpatented aggression meter. I estimate that it will cost between $8 and $40,000. Do you have a bank account? I will just debit what I need.

well the dovi wolf cichlid is known to be the meanest toughest cichlid there is, but the umbee alot of times beats on the wolf cichlid no matter how much bigger the dovi is, so id say the umbee, even though its smaller, whos more aggresive??? i dont know, but its fact that the umbee and dovi are the toughest two cichlids there is, maybe something like the red devil has little fish sydrome causeing it to be more aggresive, doesnt meen its tougher though,

Hofly this answeres your question

umm..... naw its either the 5-spot general jewel (hemichromis elongauts)dont know if i spelled it right)

any of those fish pound for pound at the same size say 6 inches, the 5-spot general will shred them. they are the most aggressive fish! buy them and witness yourself:naughty::headbang2

i move to make a rule, that all posts like this should be closed, it's just stupid

Absolutely!

But, there is a right answer. It would be what ever fish is most hungry, cranky, cramped, stressed, threatened, crowded, or just has a plain ol' bad attitude. Not to mention defending territory, fry, etc...

Therefore, please quit asking this question people. If not MFK is going to have to make a new area to post these threads. I think it should be the "department of redundancy department"

hahhaaha , most aggresive huh? once and for all? this guy is gonna end this question with this thread huh? dude.... i just donno what to say...:(

I'd have to say a 14 inch midas in a 10 gallon tank that hasn't seen food for a week would be the most aggressive. ;)
Honestly, I will never understand why people want to keep a fish just based on aggression levels. If you think a fish looks cool and has a nice personality then get that one and keep it properly. I honestly wish jags and dovis weren't so aggressive so I could put one with my oscars. Can you imagine the tanks we could put together if all these big brute cichlids liked each other. :nilly:
