How about growing out 5-6 cichlids to get a breeding pair.severums,salvini,firemouth, sajica, cutteri, blue acara

You'd be able to keep smaller bichirs in there, datnoids get HUGE so I wouldn't recommend them haha

Bichirs you can keep would be Senegalus (the most common), Delhezi, Mokelembembe, palmas polli, retropinnis, palmas buettokoferri, maybe palma's palma's

Stay away from lower jaws and the larger upper jaws, UJs to avoid ornate teugelsi weeksii, and all the lower jaws endlicheri lapradei ansorgii etc

Red terror, Texas cichlid, peacock bass, green terror all awesome fish! I wish I could have them all lol.

Or a brackish tank with GSP or Figure 8 Puffer would be cool. I love the puffers because they're more like dogs than fish personality wise.
