I recently acquired two EBJD adult males around 6-7 inches. Unfortunately they came in pretty poor condition with one being emaciated and both having fungal infections, white poop syndrome and not eating. After treating them for a little while they seem to be on the mend hopefully on their way to a full recovery(knock on wood, fingers crossed). With them looking better I took the opportunity to take some pics of these relatively peaceful but mean mugged cichlid. Hope you guys enjoy the shots and let me know what you think.

Thanks, I was pleased with their over all looks despite the condition I received them in. Hopefully they'll have an opportunity to pass on their looks.

Great pics nice looking ebjd

Thanks! I appreciate that.

I got a group of BG females for them, so hopefully they'll recover fully and I can try my hand at breeding them. It's just too bad they're so inherently weak genetically. I wonder if there's anyway to increase their viability? It's too bad so little is known about what genetically is passed on with the BG gene that causes them to be so fragile.

Wow they look great!

They look awesome, I didn't know they lived long enough to get that big.

Thanks man! I've rarely seen them this size myself except on youtube vids. Hopefully if I do breed them they'll produce some offspring that'll reach the same size as well.
