I would have taken the pleco. I need a scavenger that my jag can't try to eat. He kills everything, I've tried 3 times with plecos and they all end up dead. Maybe an armored cat like a niger cat might last with him.

I don't hate any fish but I will not own a pleco unless its a Bristlenose, I had a regular one that as it was getting bigger, smacked its tail up against the glass and broke the seal. BIG MESS!
