I don't have any idea on how to get rust out of the tank...razor blade maybe? or a bit of course salt with a bit of lemon juice, just enough to make a paste and a plastic scrubby with LOTS of elbow grease.

well thanks for all the congrats and every thing. I got it all cleaned up and thats all thats left is the rust in the tank. It isn't enough to hurt them so hopefully my parents will realize I want to take this responisability on and let set it up.
