Today I was driving around town and I noticed a big glass image out of the corner of my eye. Turns out, it was a fish tank. I figured it was being picked up by someone but I figured what the heck lets just see what this is all about. Rang the door bell, some guy answered and told me the tank had a "small leak" and i could take it if I had a way to lift it. A few phone calls later, the thing was loaded up and to my house. Its 135 gallons, (172"x18"x24"). I just filled it to see how bad the leak was, but not a single drip of water came out of it so I am going to leave it filled for a few days and see if its just a slow leak that I could repair myself. Has anyone done any leak repairs? if so, what did you use and how did you go about applying it? (did you remove the old silicone and completely replace it?)
Well heres a pic of the newly discovered monster. Enjoy! Let me know what you think! Dont mind the poor quality of the pictures, it was taken with my phone. ENJOY!

if its on the bottom the leak can be fixed using aquarium safe silicone.obviously noone will be able to spot the silicone so it wont affect the aquarium look. good pick up.luck u.here no one ever throws aquariums

Yeah thanks. I just bought some DAP Aquarium silicone from Menards. I just threw a solid bead around the whole thing and Im gonna let it sit for a day and go after it with a razor very safely to remove any unnesisary (sp?) silicone.
