One Of JP"s fry need help analizing

this is one of JP's fry that , it at 2.5 inch i never post up before.it been dark like this since the day i got him and i was wonder if it going to peel or what.please help expert .comment are also welcome guys.remeber his mother was a fadded kamfa.lol enjoy

Some fish of the batch are this and some are that. Doesn't look like a fading kind of dark right now. It's just the quality of the fish. But lets hope he fades later because this looks poor.
 
my batch from jp looks poor but sold all of them so its okay. good luck on your fh and maybe at 3-4 inches, might look killer!
 
You can't call or guarantee them to be koksters or MP when they are babies. If it was that easy, there would be tons of MPs in the hobby and none of the lfs qualities like such.
Why his fins folded? Is it because youre taking pictures of it or it's usually like that? If it's usually like that then there's something wrong.. Just hope it fades so it can at least have orange/yellow colors.
 
some of them don't start getting color until they get bigger. 2.5 inches is still sery small to make a judgement on. just make sure you are feeding a quality color food and keeping the water clean.
 
kamfa's take time to develop, nobody can promise you a MP, that is ridiculous
 
lol thanks guys .i know under all of those black there is beautiful color under it lol.and it have a kok lol.and it turn darker today.but still very active and out going,it eating well like a pig lol
 
he looks a little stressed. maybe after whatever is stressing him is fixed, he will color up for you.
he looks good to me. i think you may have too high expectations for a fish that small. in a few months he is going to look better and you will have a better idea of how he will look. for 2.5 inches, he could be very nice. he has alot of color for a fish that size.

lol i hope so too.but even better if he peel lol then i would have a special one lol.yeah... my other fry is at the same size with big kok and beautiful color so am kinda have high expectation from them lol.
