One Of JP"s fry need help analizing

While I already said and won't argue you can't guarentee every fry will be awesome. These are far better than most lfs quality unless your lfs is in thailand.. You could even argue that lfs fh's come from good quality parents but most lfs fh's won't even have a full row of flowers. Same thing you get with the fry auctions on aquabid.. highly cherry picked as well, sending you the lower grades.

When you say MOST lfs do you mean like petco and petsmart? All 3 of the lfs in my area that deal only in fish get some really nice FH in and have them mostly all the time. They have from SRT to cherry monster KOK. The one almost always has KML and Rose Queens. Maybe I am just in a good location for higher quality fh for lfs? Don't get me wrong though AB is much higher quality and I still buy most there. Now petco and petsmart sometimes get thos trimacu things but I haven't been in the fish sec of one of those chains in a while.

It's a newer time than before. Lfs are getting better FHs if they do know about and choose to carry them. Some don't know how to judge them. Most of them in the mid and east don't know much about FHs yet so they have ugly ones I don't know from where. Those trimac ones you mentioned are trimac crosses not FHs. The supplier can just say FHs and they sell them as so. FHs as of today should have improved plenty since then.
The 2 FHs posted on here arent really kamfas like everyone says.. They are Dominant ZZ traits and barely, if any at all, kamfa traits showing. Even though if it's planned breeding for kamfas, what it shows is what it is. FHs are are mixture of bloodlines and arent pure so many things can happen in the gene mix.
Some mentioned they see KOK!! lol! A little bump bone at the head does not mean kok. KoK is a big ball head or a ball water head not a tiny hump. That's only structure of built. You gotta wait to see.
IMO about quality as someone said these are far better than lfs.. It depends.. Here in socal, where Im at, lots of ppl have nice FHs and breed them too. Some of them give them to lfs cuz they don't have room. Not to make eastcoast feel bad but I get small fries for about a dollar or two or even free if I want to . Some ppl choose not to buy fries and waste time space and $ cuz it's a gamble with fries. Best is to wait to see some signs of things you like first. Don't count on the parents to pass on everything..
I've raised babies to large adults before. I've bred FHs before. I've had plenty different FHs, but they are all gone now. Im not talking from what I hear, but from some small experiences. Im not an expert or anything but been around these fishes a lot because they are popular here in my area.

Agree with both. Area you are in helps alot. Beantickler apparently there are some FH enthusiasts or knowledgable stores in your area. All I was really trying to say is these were a good shot at getting a good looking FH for cheap for most of the people who bought them. Most have full flowers, good body shape. No doubt most will be lookers. I have discriminating tastes. Very few of the fish even on Aquabid meet my standards or are fish I would buy and these fry really look great to me.

Also in CA there are lots of FH of course. Because all fishkeeping is bigger there. So there is more out there and therefore usually lower prices/bigger supply.

I'm not saying they know anything about FH... They just somehow have some decent ones... Don't get me wrong, they still have SOME that r just a total waste of money but the good ones outway the junk ones. The funny thing is that they call them all these fake stupid names and they will label JK as SRT and KML as RD and they just mess alot of the naming up. Its kinda funny but sometimes they have some real nice ones so that makes up for there stupidity.

If you want High Quality FH... try parts of Rosemead and Alhambra.. where there are viet store owners there will be good FHs... . but i do know that parts of Orange County like little Saigong has them too...

best quality is shipping from Thailand..
