Is there a one way valve? I'm just scared of having blackouts or my pump failing on me or something. I need something to attach to my return, just incase my pump fails, so the water wont backflow to the sump and having a mess again. I flooded the ground floor and he basement 3x already. And my landlady's pretty mad about it. She said, nxt time that'll happen, she'll get rid of my tank :(

Yes, there are one way valves that you can buy. I have one in my return pump. It is a life saver...

Drill a 1/16" hole in your return line going into tank. Make it just below the water level in the tank. When the power goes out , the siphon is broken . The only water to go in the sump is from the overflow lines. Ive had mine setup this way for 8 yrs and havent had any problems with it .......Kelly

check valve ;)

I'm using a wet/dry filter forgot the name of the fliter. Anywho thanks guys, check valve. Are they in copper or pvc?

I do have that already. I bought an elbow w/ a drilled hole already and never works. The lfs told me that, it will break the back flow. But never did.
