 "i'd make the guy an offer..." The price is not good enough? :grinno:

price is good, thats not what i meant.

what i meant is since i wouldnt want the stand i would offer him $$ for just the tank. i would have a shorter stand fabbed.

in his ad it seems like he is trying to talk everyone out of buying it; it wont fit anywhere, its heavy as hell, and its going to cost a grip to move. i have a feeling the seller will be sitting on the tank for a while. gettin $1250 cash today is better than asking $1500 for three more years and not selling it. not to mention i could show up with a flatbed and a forklift on a trailer at no cost. a flatbed and forklift in sight and $1250 in hand is a good offer imo.

I love the comments: " It’s not going to fit in your home, apartment, or garage," and "It won't be cheap." I can just hear the tone with which it's being said. It's almost like, "I dare you to own this aquarium."

He's being honest and up-front, so not wasting anybody time. Price is good, yet, you want to offer $1250? :grinno: :screwy::eek: :grinno: :screwy::eek: :grinno: :screwy::eek: :grinno: :screwy:
You may have to pay him more than $1500 if you want the tank only, since he sells everything for that price :headbang2 If you leave the stand behind, you gotta pay storage fee:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

the price is really low, its at the point where it seems the guy just wants it gone. if he doesnt sell it at some point he is going to be paying to have it removed!
id be doing him a favor to take it and throw him the $1250!

It's reasonable.

Filtration and heating would be :swear:

May be filtration, but with 3" acrylic, once you heat up the water inside, you hardly have any heat loss

Yeah 3' stand is too tall...I'd have a new stand made. But the height is nice...when you've got a 6' tank that's only 18" wide and 3' tall then the dims suck, but that 8x4 footprint is solid and the height opens up possibilities. Aros on top, cichla in the middle, cats at the bottom. Or aros, dats, rays? I'd be on it.

If anyone wants to buy me this and drive it to Florida I'd be happy to let you look at my fish when it's stocked...hell I'll even email you pics of them as they grow hehe.
