That is a really nice looking royal. It's not a 'platinum' (aka Panaque cf. armbrusteri or L027 Xingu/LDA063) it's Panaque nigrolineatus (aka L190/L330). I can see the first pic is taken with flash, are the rest? Because it has a really nice base colour and line contrast.
thanks its was actually labeled as a l190 platinum from my supplier. the first pic is the only one with flash
yes its her normal color my supplier had it for at least 2 months before handing it to me and hes sent me pictures of them to me prior to me having it and its retained that color. i wish mine had whiskers like yours it would have made her even more awesome. ive only had her for 2 days lol.I see. Is that his normal colour? How long have you had him? You can see mine in my avatar, a 40cm/16", I've had him a bit over 2 years now and he's gotten progressively darker in colour.

Hi matubula i have 2 royals a 330 and a 190 the 190 is an inch or so smaller than my 330 they both have whiskers but the 190s are longer and the end of his fins also have more is there any reason for why they would be growing slower? (both in the same tank). I do plenty of water changes and have great filtration. They get fed varied veggies or is there something i could do feed etc to get them looking as good as yours? cheers
