Oopps! What do I do now?

Had to put a small female flower horn in a 25Gal tank with a small male FH. Installed a divider to keep them from killing each other. This is all temporary and not really planned.
So it has been about a week and now I see they have tunneled under the divider and are both on the same side! (another unplanned move). But they are not killing each other, if you know I mean. So now what should I do? Pull the divider, separate them , leave them on the same side with the divider in?
Any and all advice is welcome.

if they want to breed, why not let them? put in a saucer or clay pot and remove the divider...

OK so I pulled the divider and the fish look like they are in full blown breeding mode. If she nests with eggs do I keep them together?

I would say 4.5” - 5” and yes I will watch them like a hawk.

BTW, watch them to make sure they don't hurt each other - they seem to be unpredictable...
