Opinion of activated carbon

I totally agree with using it for a better smelling tank as well as a clearer tank.

I use periodically after medication or to remove tannins (from driftwood) or odor from the water.

A little can go a long way.

I took the carbon out of my canister. But I keep two prefilled bags of carbon(On my fish stuff shelf) for my HOB which is solely mechanical filtration currently. Just in case I need to remove medication etc etc

yeah thats the reason why i need to start using carbon because of the smell my tank giives off into my loft... i think my fam is getting a bit discusted lol
