lose the red devil and the jag ,the rest will probably work

Gotta agree. Drop the jag and devil. I had a 125 at one point with 2 jags, an oscar, 2 gt's, black belt, vieja argentea, and a texas. It worked while I had it but i had to move and get rid of all the fish. I sold the jags when they were getting close to the 7" mark just because I knew it would be trouble eventually. But check my current signature with my 125 stocklist. All the fish are between 4 and 6" right now and doing well. You could try a midas and still get your red devil color. My midas is significantly less aggressive than the red devil I have in my 90. At least at this point he is. So if you even did something like....

1 texas, 1 midas, 1 Gt, 2 convicts, 2 JD's. I personally think this would be worth trying. Also, in my opinion, I would try to get all males to save on breeding drama. Good luck!

Well since you've decided on choosing one of them I'd go JAG for sure. They get to a really nice size and a well taken care of JAG can be a truly amazing looking specimen to keep. Check out aquamojo's pics and greenterrors to see what I'm talking about. They've both got some impressive JAG's.

Thanks for the advise guys. Im torn between keeping the jag or rehome it. He is constantly in hiding and usually doesn't even come out to eat. Is this just a stage since he is young (2.5 inches), or will this be a problem? Ill look into the midas as well. It might be a better option than the rd.

Shoot! Here's another idea and I think it would look sweet. It may be too much fish eventually for the 125 but could be worth a try. Ditch your JD's and red devil, and pick up a midas, rearrange your tank and let it roll! So something like....

1 Texas, 1 Jag, 1 Midas, 1 Gt, and 2-3 cons for the big guys to play with! Again, all males.

These colors would looks sweet together! If they all grow up together you might have a winner! I'm definitely wanting to do something like this myself someday. I don't think 4 big fish like that would necessarily be too much for a 125. It would be awhile at least until they would be pushing the tanks limit. And you said you said you had an fx5 so filtration should be fine on the bioload. As far as your jag hiding it might be because of the red devil being a butt. If you get rid of the devil and rearrange things a bit the jag might snap out of it. His skiddishness shouldn't be a long term deal.

I don't mean to give you even more things to think about but if you're keeping these fish long term you want the right combo and stock. Again, good luck!
