Opinions about Glasscages aquarium delivery

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes ATA was one of the places I was talking about.
All of the seams in GC tanks look like a 12 year old on crack did them and the thickness of the glass is always borderline for the size of the tank. I always order thicker than necessary in spite of the weight.

Are ya'll freakin' serious? I'm already scared to death to buy anything other than OceanicSystems and finally got the nerve up and hear this. Now I'm not getting a tank until I do more research.

Who would you guys reccommend then who think Glasscages' tanks are low quality?

Call ATA...rent a flatbed truck and take a drive to LA...Let us know when and we'll take you on a tour of the better LFS...

I will email them and ask them how many complaints they have had etc. Also I wonder if they set the tank up right, they say you have to put the stand on level cement, put a sheet of styrofoam between the tank and stand etc. so maybe the tank is not always set up right??????????????

I wouldnt take their word for it, I would think they would say none or once in a blue moon...

I spent the last 2 months searching for a 240. I was seriously considering a glasscages tank until I saw some of the threads about them. I emailed them a couple of days ago and asked about the acrylic thickness.... "normally 3/8" is what I got back.

I kept looking and I found fishtanksdirect.com. They custom build tenecor tanks and ship them for free! 3/4" acrylic for a 240. Prices are more than glasscages but cheaper than a tenecor from their website.
