Alright.. He gave me until tuesday of next week to get the tank started. He really wants to get rid of the fish who have outgrown his tank.

He allowed me to give him a small deposit so he can take them off the market.

So now I have to jam at setting the tank up. Hopefully I dont run into any problems like a broken heater, leaking corners, faulty filter...

I even made time to go back to my moms to pick up some seeded media. I may pick up some Cycle just in case.

Hopefully by Tuesday of next week I can say I am the proud owner of a colony of 14 Mpimbwes.

SWEEETTT...:headbang2

i rushed mine with out completing the cycle but do small water changes almost everyday and keep an eye on my perams.
another option is if you have a canister or even extra hang on filter set them up in a temp home -large rubbermaid bins. I know its getto but it worked for me.

heres a link, 2nd and 3rd pics are the ghetto home -55gallon rubbermaid bin and an extra eheim I had. worked well and i didnt loose any fish.

just throwing it out there if you get cought in a bind.

Good idea chico3611. I just picked up a few bins to pick them up in. If there are any problems, Ill have to house them in there for a few.

TODAY IS THE DAY I PICK THEM UP!!

Im a bit nervous but hella excited.

I seeded my FX5 and Eheim Classic 2260 with a filter sponge and ceramic rings from my cansiter at my moms pad that has been running on my 150.

I was able to push the pickup date to today rather than monday.. the day after I setup the tank. Good thing because I opted for pool filter sand as the substrate and it took a good day and a half to settle. Even though I rinsed out the sand really well, the freakin stuff still clouded up the tank.

I think because I am introducing so many at one time, Im gonna do a 50% WC daily just to make sure the levels dont spike too much..

Any other ideas on how I can keep stress down in this venture?

AWE YEAH!!! Picked them up last night... aclimated them for a good while (didnt get to bed until about 2:30am.. plus I had to watch Lost). The were a little sluggish when I introduced them into the tank, but this morning they were out and about and the Alpha was chasing the others around claiming his spot.

THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS!! Pics to come.
