edit: I have a still puppy-like 11yr old akita female.

Here's the situation.

If you walk your dog in your neighborhood where there are other homes & you diligently pick up after your dog & also do not let your dog pee or poop on other neighbors' lawns, & as you continue walking with bag in hand already scooped you come across a neighbor's trash can still at curbside and you are maybe 2-3blocks away from home what would you do?

1a. carry it all the way home to dump in your own trash can?

1b. why?

or

2a. dump it in the neighbor's trash can (mind you, you are 2-3blocks away)?

2b why?

A1) are you a dog owner

A2) if so, what dog(s) do you have

or are you:

B) a non-dog owner but like dogs

or

C) a non-dog owner & don't like dogs

Reason I ask is because my significant other made a big deal of it in front of our neighbors when I deposited the baggy while we all were waiting for the school bus to arrive. My wife reprimanded me & demanded I take the bag out. man, did she make me feel like a child being scolded.

I have my opinions but I'd rather get yours from both sides of the coin, aisle, the pros the cons, the nays the yays.

thks all

the end result was ...

i wouldnt like it if you dumped dump in my trash can. i would just grab the doo doo bare hand and just stuff it in my pocket and forget about it.

back to nature right?!

someone else's reply:

<I'll dump it in a trash can. That's what they are for. Where I live the waste disposal company actually owns the trashcans, they just let people "borrow" them. Still, people get all sassy about you "using their things." There's a big difference between dumping a lawn chair in someones garbage can and a small bag of dog feces. I don't see why anyone would legitimately care.>

i would carry it all the way home because its rude to use someone elses bin that pay to have emptied. its made worse if they get their bin cleaned regularly and they arent a dog owner. seeing as your only a small walk from your own bin and your going there anyway its no hardship for you to carry it to your own bin. its just lazy to fill up someone elses bin when your so close to your own.
check my signature.

if i wasnt a dog owner i would go ballistic at someone dumping their dogs crap in my bin and potentially making it smell far worse than i could ever make it smell.
i would probably cut the bag and throw it at them if they refused to remove it. to be honest i would probably do that now unless they asked me politely to use my bin. in that case i would allow them, its basic manners. its all about having the manners to ask.

LOL

Well I would pick it up and with the bag and throw it in the neighbor's trash...But I would tie the bag first.

I would do it out of respect. If someone walked by and threw a few pieces of trash in my bin I wouldn't say anything, I would much rather have them toss it than have it end up in my drive way.

I've got two dogs.....both boys, one a Boston Terrier his name is Tofu because his funny head shape and the other is a three legged chihuahua, the previous owner stepped on him when he was only two weeks old and broke it, his leg is slightly functional and looks perfectly normal untli he tries to run, then its hilarious, but hes only 5 months old, his name is Nacho....yes named after "Ignacio" from Nacho Libre. Tofu is much older and has been without a buddy for two years until we brought home a little pal for him. The chihuahua is very traumatized from being abused and thrown around and just recently warmed up to the family recently but still only trusts his only buddy in the world....Tofu..

I'd pick up the crap, put it in their bin. it's either that or it can stay on the ground. they can choose to have a whinge about it or not

The proper thing to do is to carry it home and throw it away. Unless you know someone well enough to use their trash can that is.

^need to teach my dog to do that.

What do you do when your dog gets diarrhea? I've had the pleasure of picking it up a couple times.
As for your question, my own garbage. If someone put doggy poo on my garbage, it would be set on fire, and then it would be set on their porch (or maybe opposite around.)

Y'know, poo ees whrong accordeenk teh ze shpellcheck.
